Our mission at Gunflint Coffee Co. is first and foremost to supply our customers with the highest quality coffee, roasted in small batches to order. By choosing only high quality ingredients and shipping our coffee directly to your door freshly roasted, we take care in ensuring that each bag of coffee is packed with Gunflint’s unique rich flavor. We know how important that first cup of coffee is in the morning, and we want to make sure that our customers start each day off right!
We are Nathan and Alix Theis, Minnesota locals with tremendous love for coffee and the great outdoors! Our very first date was to a coffee shop followed by a breathtaking hike to Willow Falls in Hudson, WI. A year and some odd days later, Nathan proposed while on a hike looking over the stunning Pigeon Falls in Grand Portage, MN. The rest was history! We have been lucky enough to instill our love for the outdoors in our children, and that is one of the most rewarding things we’ve been able to do as a married couple so far.
Nathan dedicates his time to the United States Army Reserve, and has spent many years working in public safety in the civilian sector as a 911 Dispatcher. He was born with the drive to protect and serve with honor and integrity. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and painting miniatures.
Alix is a registered nurse and has spent most of her career in oncology and solid organ transplant. She is committed to the perpetuation of kindness and integrity into the world. Being a dedicated wife, attentive mother, and compassionate nurse are at the top of her priority list. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, and creating arts and crafts.
